State Vice-Commissioner/Public Relations
(a) The State Vice-Commissioner/ Public Relations shall in the
absence of the State Commissioner, perform all the duties and
have all of the powers of the State Commissioner. He/she shall
also have such powers and perform such duties as shall be
assigned to him/her by the Board of Commissioners. His/her
title shall be State Vice-Commissioner/Public Relations. Upon
the State Vice-Commissioner’s/Public Relations’ permanent
absence during a fiscal year, the position shall be filled by a
majority vote of the Board of Track Directors. The State Vice-
Commissioner/Public Relations shall act as “good will”
ambassador for all business conducted by the Association.
He/she shall secure publicity for the Illinois State NBL, sponsors
for it (if possible); promotion of the State Series; publicity for the
main body of Illinois NBL Association and the media.
(b) The State Vice-Commissioner/Public Relations shall make
sure promotional flyers are printed and available showing State
Series race dates and rules, all of which are to be sent to the
media, BMX Today, all tracks and riders.
(c) The State Vice-Commissioner/Public Relations will be the
administrator for the Illinois State website or recruit and oversee
the handling of the State website. He/she will obtain points from
the State Clerk and post them within forty-eight (48) hours of
obtaining them.
(d) The State Vice-Commissioner/Public Relations will be in
charge of mass communication via e-mails for changes and
updates.
(e) The website will provide basic information for the State
Series including dates, times and contact information for the
Illinois State Board members.
(f) The site will also provide ports for each Illinois track to post
schedules, events and contact information.
(g) The site shall include all previously mentioned items required
for viewing by the Illinois racing community.
(h) The State Vice-Commissioner/Public Relations shall
represent the State with an informational site appropriate for
viewing for all ages.
